📋 Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using My Fridge Chef ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and My Fridge Chef ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of the App.

📱 Use of the App

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use My Fridge Chef. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
• Use automated means to access the App without our permission.
• Upload malicious content or attempt to reverse-engineer the App.

🤖 AI-Generated Recipes

• AI-generated recipes may not account for all food allergies, dietary restrictions, or specific medical conditions.
• Always use your own judgment regarding food safety and preparation.
• We are not responsible for any adverse reactions or outcomes resulting from following AI-generated recipes.
• Consult with a healthcare professional regarding specific dietary needs or food allergies.

⭐ Subscription & In-App Purchases

Chef Pro Subscription

My Fridge Chef offers a premium subscription ("Chef Pro") with the following terms:

• Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. The trial begins when you confirm the subscription.
• Monthly Plan: $4.99/month, billed monthly.
• Annual Plan: $34.99/year, billed annually.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.

Payment

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's Standard EULA and payment terms.

🔔 Notifications

My Fridge Chef may send you local push notifications about:

• Ingredients approaching their expiration date.
• Expired ingredients that need attention.

You can manage notification preferences in your device's Settings app. Opting out of notifications may affect your experience with ingredient expiry tracking.

📸 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App, including:

• Profile photos
• Ingredient data and photos
• Dietary preference information

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.

🛡️ Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by My Fridge Chef and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.

⚠️ Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• AI-generated recipe suggestions are not a substitute for professional culinary or nutritional advice.
• Expiration date notifications are based on user-entered data and may not reflect actual food safety conditions.
• We are not liable for any food-related illness, injury, or damage resulting from the use of the App.

🚫 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My Fridge Chef shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the App.
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• Any content obtained from the App, including AI-generated recipes.

🔄 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease.
• We may delete your account and associated data.
• Active subscriptions will remain subject to Apple's refund policies.

📝 Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

⚖️ Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
